Building A Better Team

Directions: In small groups, members are tasked with putting together a cognitively diverse team of 5 people to expand a company. Each group is presented with a problem the growing company aims to solve. There are 15 applicant resumes in total to review. The goal is to put together a cognitively diverse team of 5 members that can tackle the company’s issue.

Group 1

A Steel Manufacturing company is expanding into a new workshop and integrating AI robots and automation with current steel employees. Without cutting jobs, current employees need to be prepped for this new dynamic.

Group 2

A home design company needs to predict the next ‘hot thing’ to build in a house to keep up with current and future trends. Previous examples of house add-ons include man-caves, wellness rooms, and home gyms.

Group 3

An HR firm seeks to revamp company onboarding by adapting to up-and-coming technologies, work-from-home employees, maintaining privacy, international work groups, etc.

Group 4

A construction company is tasked with building a new tourist attraction in a lowly populated area that needs to provide 1500+ jobs and attract millions of visitors yearly. It’s set to open in three years.

Group 5

A fast food company is looking to create a new sandwich that caters to the current health trends in the United States.
